Key takeaways

  • The Trust's stated focus is poverty, particularly fuel poverty, and its work covers energy debt relief, money and energy advice, and emergency energy vouchers, so a small nonprofit working in those areas is most likely to fit.
  • Its stated focus is England, Wales and Scotland.
  • Its direct grants go to households, with the Energy Support Grant stated at up to £1,700, and it also funds advice-giving organisations across those three nations to deliver free money and energy advice, debt help, budgeting and benefits guidance.
  • The annual report, register entry and website publish no application process and the grant range is not stated, so contact the Trust using the details shown before preparing a request, and do not assume a set amount.
  • If your clients are customers of the listed suppliers, or have had a Trust grant in the last two years, the Energy Support Grant excludes them unless the stated conditions are met, so check those first.
