Application Process & Timeline
Organisations apply through competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) applications distributed throughout the year. Each RFP details the specific funding focus and application deadline. The Foundation offers multiple grant cycles annually (including Spring and Fall consolidated grant cycles).
Eligible applicants include non-profits, schools, county agencies, religious organisations, and other groups conducting charitable work serving El Dorado County. Organisations must be in good standing with the IRS, California Secretary of State, and Department of Justice.
Proposal review committees comprise community members and Board representatives who evaluate applications based on organisational capacity, project need, objectives and methods, budget, and project sustainability. Successful applicants must submit narrative reports on funded grant outcomes.
