Key takeaways

  • Your work fits best if it serves refugee children and their families, or vulnerable people in deprived communities, in Jordan or Lebanon, which is the area the Geographic focus line gives.
  • The annual report gives no grant size or range, so ask the charity about typical amounts before you set a figure for your request.
  • Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, and for significant projects you should send a written application, which the trustees consider and approve.
  • Approved projects are monitored regularly for delivery of expected outcomes, so set out how you will measure results.
  • A project outside the stated programmes of children's welfare, development aid, refugee relief, seasonal humanitarian aid, education and health is a weaker fit.
