Key takeaways
- Organisations in Kirklees that run football, health, breakfast, mentoring or youth activity for children, young people or older residents are the best fit, since these match its four themes.
- Its stated priority is Kirklees, so a group working elsewhere should check that its project still meets that priority before writing.
- Its total giving in its most recent year was £4,431, and no grant range is stated, so a modest request is more realistic than a large one.
- No application process is published in the annual report, the register entry or its website, so get in touch through the contact shown before submitting anything.
- The sources do not say how many organisations it funds or how competitive it is, so ask about timing when you make contact.
Overview
Huddersfield Town Foundation is a charity registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales (charity number 1146501).
The Huddersfield Town Foundation exists to tackle the consequences of inequality by providing positive opportunities and support to the community of Kirklees. It uses football and local partnerships to create opportunities, reduce inequalities and support people across Kirklees, and its long-term strategy is built around three core pillars: Grow, Thrive and Belong. All its programmes aim to tackle at least one of four impact areas: Learning & Education, Health & Healthy Behaviours, Safe Spaces & Places, and Movement & Activity. It was established to ensure every child in Kirklees starts their day with the nutrition they need, and it has served more than three million breakfasts.
