Key takeaways

  • If your work is tennis in Buckinghamshire, the funder's stated focus fits, since its geographic focus is given as Buckinghamshire.
  • Most of its 11 grants to organisations have been modest: about 8 in 10 fell between £300 and £1,050, with a median of £700, though its stated maximum for development grants is up to £5,000.
  • Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, and for venue loans and development grants you should ask the charity for an application form before writing.
  • Only LTA-registered venues can apply for loans, development grants must fund significant improvements rather than maintenance and are not usually given for padel courts, and participation grants must fund new initiatives to increase participation at your venue, so check your project fits one of these.
  • Clubs without a clear mini tennis pathway should not apply for Aspirantes funding, and coach education applicants must be working towards an LTA-recognised qualification and find the other half of the cost themselves.
