What they fund
Priority Areas
BSAVA makes grants through PetSavers, its fundraising and grant-awarding arm, for clinically relevant research into diseases affecting companion animals. The work focuses on diagnosis, treatment and management and is intended to advance evidence-based veterinary medicine and improve pet health. PetSavers awards grants to veterinary surgeons, nurses and academics in universities and veterinary practices. Its grants support researchers at different stages of their careers, including students, and student project grants help early-career researchers build skills and experience in veterinary science. The Association expects funded research to have real relevance to veterinary practice and to improve companion animals’ lives through advances in understanding, diagnosis and disease management.
