Key takeaways

  • British-Ukrainian Aid's work fits best where it touches its stated themes: medical aid, humanitarian relief for people affected by the war in Ukraine, support for Ukrainian refugees in the UK, and Ukrainian culture education.
  • Its stated priority is Ukraine, although its focus is also given as across the world, so a project elsewhere may want to show how it links to Ukraine.
  • Its most recent grant figure on the Charity Commission register is £1,787, and the newest year shows no grants to institutions, while its grant range is not stated, so a modest request is the realistic starting point.
  • No application process is published, so the sensible first step is to use the contact shown on its website or in its annual report to ask whether it accepts approaches and what it needs.
  • No timing, level of competition or exclusions are given, so ask about those directly rather than assume.
