Application Process & Timeline
The Foundation offers two main grant programmes:
Healthy Community Grants: Organisations must complete several preliminary steps before being invited to apply, including attending a workshop, understanding the 11 Healthy Community Indicators, and having an exploratory meeting with a Community Investment Officer. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.
Horizon Education Grants: Available to educators in publicly funded pre-K through college institutions in Lancaster County, Great Falls, or Lewisville. Educators may apply for two grants per academic year: one $500 grant and one multi-educator grant up to $2,000. Applications are reviewed by the Horizon Youth Review Committee, and decisions may take 1–2 months following submission.
