Application Process & Timeline
Organisations must first contact their state-specific NiSource representative to determine if their project fits within that state's charitable funding plan and meets grant criteria. If eligible, organisations will receive information on how to apply via an online application portal powered by Blackbaud YourCause. Faxed, mailed, or emailed requests will not be considered. Applicants must be 501(c)(3) organisations located within NiSource's service territory with preference given to organisations with high employee engagement. The Foundation evaluates requests on strategic alignment, resource availability, project or programme impact, visibility and recognition, and organisational priorities.
