What they fund
Priority Areas
Arise supports grassroots organisations and frontline groups working to prevent modern slavery, human trafficking and re-trafficking, especially those rooted in source countries. It prioritises groups headquartered in their principal country of work, ideally founded and led locally, and working in networks with like-minded organisations. Its funding criteria focus on prevention, while its wider model builds the strength, sustainability and direct impact of frontline groups through project funding, training, mentoring, research, advice and support. Arise also funds prevention, rehabilitation and alternative-livelihood projects, and provides capacity-building so local partners can respond to the needs of their communities. Its priority countries include India, Brazil, the Philippines, Albania, Romania and Nigeria.
